DR. ALOK GUPTA, MD
Sports Medicine Physician
I take enormous satisfaction in working with athletes and active people of all ages, both to prevent and treat musculoskeletal injuries and to help promote an active lifestyle.
After completing my medical training and an Orthopædic Surgery residency in India, I worked as an Assistant Clinical Professor and orthopædic surgeon in both India and Botswana for several years. In Canada, I did a residency in Family Medicine and completed a diploma programme in Sports Medicine (CASEM) at McMaster University.
As part of my sports medicine training, I have worked with professional athletes and teams, including the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL). My work experience includes providing team medical coverage at national and international events such as the 2013 Toronto Women’s Half Marathon, the 2013 World Under-23 Championship in ultimate Frisbee and the Pan American Games of 2015.
