(PH.D, Mental Performance Consultant)

As a Mental Performance Consultant at The Sports Clinic (TSC), I find enabling clients to improve their athletic performance highly rewarding. Through various systems and strategies I have developed, I help both able-bodied athletes and those with disabilities to attain their objectives, whether they are competing at the intercollegiate, national, international or professional level.

I am an adjunct faculty member of psychology at York University, the University of Guelph-Humber and Sheridan College, as well as a clinician at TSC. I teach a number of psychology courses, including Sport & Exercise Psychology, Group Dynamics and Test & Measurement. My general research area pertains to group dynamics in sport (athlete leadership and team cohesion), as well as mental skills training technology and its impact on cognition. My research is funded through the University of Guelph-Humber’s research fund.

I have recently created a mental skills program called HeadSet (see www.headsetsports.com), a mental toughness/strength program for athletes and coaches that is delivered completely online and uses algorithms to automatically develop a customized program for each athlete.
